The variety and abundance of life in the oceans that make up the Southern African coastline caught me by surprise during our time there. I had heard whispers of dives packed with sharks on the Kwa-Zulu Natal shores and some of the world's largest sea lion colonies inhabiting the desolate beaches of the Skeleton Coast, but wasn't ready for the sheer amount of biodiversity that was on display on a lot of these dives.
From the balmy waters of Southern Mozambique searching for hammerheads to the frigid oceans of Cape Town seeking out Sevengills, It's safe to say I'll be back underwater there sooner than expected...
